At Light of the World, we strive to be culturally relevant, yet founded in God's truth.  Chances are, you will hear some of the songs on the local Christian radio stations. We feature music from artists like Chris Tomlin, Lincoln Brewster, Matt Redman and many others.  While our focus is on modern music, we are no strangers to the classic hymns as well.  We encourage genuine and authentic worship among believers through song.

Exit 62

Our Praise Team, Exit 62, is named both for the exit to the church from I-35W and Isaiah 62:1-2 (NIV)

 1 For Zion's sake I will not keep silent…

till her righteousness shines out like the dawn,

her salvation like a blazing torch.

 2 The nations will see your righteousness,

and all kings your glory;

you will be called by a new name

that the mouth of the LORD will bestow.

 

Exit 62 is an auditioned group of individuals requiring a great deal of commitment, dedication, and time. We use our artistic talents to honor and glorify God the Father, and Jesus Christ our Savior. You will see Exit 62 leading worship on Sunday mornings, and performing in the community at various events. Regular events include Light of the World Fall Festival in Keller, Godtoberfest in Bedford, and other DFW area events.  Check our calendar to see if we're playing at a coffee house, celebration or Christian Festival near you...we would love to see you there!

 

Other Opportunities To Get Involved!

In addition to Exit 62, we have a seasonal choir which functions as a worship choir.  You will most often see the choir at special services like Christmas and Easter.  Whether you are listening or singing, we would love for you to join us at our next performance!

 

 

Other creative arts within our worship services are drama, visual arts (i.e., painting, sculptures, photography, etc.), dramatic movement and video production.  For children, we have a choir, named Sonshine Singers for grades 1st-5th and a Puppet Ministry for students 5th grade through high school.
