Picture Directory: The picture directory is a great way to put a face with a name. Is your family ready for an updated picture? Kids home from college? We will have photographers in the foyer December 9th, December 16th and January 6th to take pictures.

Kids Christmas Party December 9th: Come from 5-7pm to celebrate the Christmas season with your friends at a special Christmas party for kids in kindergarten through 5th grade. Christmas Ornaments: Are you new to LOTW in 2018? It is a tradition to decorate our Christmas tree with ornaments from our members over the years. If you have not put a family ornament on the LOTW tree in the foyer, please feel free to do so if you wish.

Wednesday Evening Programs: Will be on Christmas break from December 19th through January 2nd. All High School Youth, Confirmation Classes and Adult Bible studies will resume their regular schedule on January 9th.

GREAT NEWS for Kids Hope! The Kids Hope USA program  at Light of the World is growing! We are partnering with Bette Perot Elementary by providing the students with mentors on a weekly basis. One hour a week. One student. One hope! The counselor has reached out again looking for AT LEAST two more mentors. Consider devoting one hour a week to building a relationship with a student that could use a light in their week, contact Marli at marli@lotwchurch.org for more information.

Adult Mission Trip:  We are considering a week long mission trip during the week of January 20th to the Florida pan handle that was devastated by a hurricane last summer.  We are trying to determine if there is enough interest for such a trip.  The cost would include travel to the location and meals.  Sleeping accommodations can be booked individually, or volunteers can stay at a local church that is assisting relief operations.  If you are interested in participating contact Pastor Greg at pastorgreg@lotwchurch.org.

Staff Appreciation Gift: The LOTW Executive Board will be taking a collection to say thanks to the outstanding staff family for all their efforts throughout 2018. Contributions may be given directly to John Cross or Russell Johnston until December 24th, or another member of the Executive Board seated at the voting table in the foyer. Please make checks payable to John Cross or Russell Johnston rather than LOTW.
