Moses vs. the Amalekites

War is sorrow, each battle bringing destruction and loss to the people and the land. Wreckage can affect decades to come, and yet we still we persist in battle generation after generation. Of course, this isn’t new: we see battles all throughout Scripture, and there is much to learn from the lessons of the past. Today we begin a new series exploring these Biblical battles, opening with the story of Moses facing the Amalekites during the exodus from Egypt. God blessed the Israelites as long as Moses held up his staff, and he could only do that with the support of those around him. Join us as Pastor Dave Jung explores the implications of that story in our lives. Scriptures today: Exodus 17:10-13 // Hebrews 2:14 // Philippians 4:13 // Romans 8:31 // 2 Corinthians 12:9 We’re so glad you joined us for this special message! David and Goliath, Salvation and Faith

We saved this story for last because it’s one of the Bible’s most famous and familiar passages to us, but also because the way we want to sum up the entire Biblical Battles series is with a message of Faith. Faith is like a foundation: a house here in Texas has a foundation of 4-6 inches, but skyscrapers require a foundation 90+ feet deep! The taller WE stand, the stronger our faith needs to be. Today, Pastor Greg explores the necessity of faith and discusses how to build it in our own lives. Scriptures today: Hebrews 11:5-6 // Ephesians 2:8-9 // 2 Timothy 4:1-8 We’re so glad you joined us for this special message!
